Dr. Barbara Heartwell – the surgeon at the centre of the wrongful mastectomies at Hotel Dieu-Grace hospital – is looking to get her operating privileges back.

Hospital officials are said to be prepared to make a statement sometime Tuesday.

Initially, Heartwell voluntarily took her self out of the OR and then had a change of heart, but the hospital subsequently suspended her.
